Jazz and "Popular" Guitar Pieces
In October 2017 I started writing for jazz guitar. Well at least in what I regard as a more popular style than my recent concert works! One year later, I've had a lot of fun and there are 14 pieces which from October 2018 I have to transcribe and record. It will take a long time! Some will be recorded as for acoustic, some as for electric and some on both.
Missing Solenn
|
Solenn came to stay with my family as a work experience student in 2018. We all became very fond of her and were so sad when she returned to her home country.

Missing Person
A dear friend told me she could hear owls outside her window at night, but was sad because she had nobody to share the moment with. It got me thinking about missing someone, so I wrote this for her.
I prefer the acoustic version.

It's Up To You Time
Written for and dedicated to the late Chris Larkin, master luthier, whose wonderful guitars are played the world over. I can do no better than quote guitarist and amplification guru John Truba who wrote of Chris: "he was a true gentleman, Master Craftsman and that rarest of all things, a lovely human being."
